If you are planning a trip to Belfast and your flight arrives in Dublin Airport or you just want to hop to the Titanic Museum from Dublin City, there are a few ways to get there.

If you’re looking for alternatives for taxi rides, the most cost-effective travel option is by coach. Our new 785 service is a direct bus from Dublin City Centre to Queen Street Upper in Belfast, with stops in both Terminal 1 and 2 in Dublin Airport.

You can enjoy your Belfast stay free of worries, with visits to the best tourist attractions like the Ulster Museum, SSE Arena or the Game of Thrones Tour. And to make the trip even better, we have compiled a list of things to do in Belfast.


Is there a direct train from Dublin Airport to Belfast City?

There are currently no train services from Dublin Airport or Dublin City to Belfast. The most direct way to travel is to get a coach or to hire a taxi. However, taxi fares can start from around €250. The best way to get to Belfast is by coach.


Where can I buy my bus ticket?

Tickets for our Belfast bus route need to be pre-booked through our website. You can pay with Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

If you miss your booked time, coaches might be able to accommodate you upon availability, but we recommend arriving to your bus stop with extra time. You can show your ticket to the driver on your phone upon pick-up.

What are the bus times?

The service from Dublin City & Dublin Airport to Belfast runs approximately every hour from 05:20 a.m. to 00:10 a.m. (departing from Westland Row).

How long does the Dublin to Belfast journey last?

The fastest bus journey from Dublin City Centre to Belfast is 2 hrs 20 mins, and 1 hr 45 mins from Dublin Airport. Our company operates 16 services per day on each track.


What is the luggage allowance?

You can take two medium-sized suitcases or one large suitcase (each weighing no more than 20kg) on your coach, plus a small piece of hand luggage.
Please note: Medium-sized items are defined as 70cm x 30cm x 45cm, whilst large items may have a max dimension of 75cm x 50cm x 32cm. Your hand luggage can be no larger than 45cm x 35cm x 20cm.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

We’re committed to making your journey as comfortable as possible, that’s why all of our 785 buses are wheelchair accessible. Please note that, due to space issues on the street, our Westland Row stop is not wheelchair accessible. The nearest accessible stop is Custom House Quay.
